Kära vän

(I know I promised to show my Christmas presents, and I will. But right now some things just seem more important)

Photo from deviantART
You don't deserve this. I wish I could do something that would make it all better. I can only imagine the pain you must feel, and I'm really sorry. How someone can do things like this will remain a mystery to me. It seems so heartless and selfish.
Please believe when I say: Det är en lång väg ner. Men det blir bättre sen.

Christmas Eve

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas. Mine was cozy and cute. We went to my sweet aunt Karen's place, and she had cooked a lovely dinner, so we ate too much as always.
We had a Swedish Christmas tree...

I felt like a little kid...

So many presents - some with hearts, some with stars, and some with stripes...

Soon I'll tell you about all the great presents I got and gave.
What did you get for Christmas?

Christmas Time at Tivoli

Dani and I went to Tivoli last night to see all the pretty Christmas stuff. It was cold but cozy. We had churros with sugar and chocolate.

Tag : 7 more things about me

Alice tagged me some time ago, and now I finally have time to do this. I'll tell you 7 more random things about myself.

1. I miss summertime in Hässleholm.

2. I love buying sweet drinks that comes in cute bottles...

3. I enjoy long train rides.

4. I have a thing for skinny guys in skinny jeans.

5. I like sitting in my living room listening to Swedish folk songs.

6. I wish I had smaller feet, so I, like Cecilia, could buy shoes at the children's department.

7. I love wearing men's shirts.

Now what?

The past week has been crazy. I'm exhausted. We handed in our final exam project yesterday - after months of hard work. I didn't sleep for 30 hours from Tuesday morning till Wednesday afternoon, so today I have been extremely lazy. I only got out of bed to cook vegetable soup with Eva and watch a movie.

It felt good handing in the project, but now it just feels weird. I don't know what to do, and I have no idea what the future will bring. Exams in January, and then what? The only thing Jeanette and I had planned after graduation just got cancelled.
Of course it will be nice to graduate, but to be honest I wouldn't mind spending more time in school. I'm really gonna miss it.

Lykke Li in Cph

Eva and I went to see Lykke Li in concert in Copenhagen last night. She is so cute and has such a great attitude. And that little sweet voice... It reminded me of this Summer at the Roskilde Festival.

So many cool people had found their way to the concert. And coolest of them all were two little girls around the age of 12. They were standing way up front in their cute Lykke Li-inspired outfits. If only I had been that fashionable, when I was their age...

Blind?

If I am really as blind as you say, I am gonna need you to help me see this.

Christmas Party

These days I'm working on my last exam project before graduation, so I have to apologize for not being much of an active blogger. We have 8 days left before handing in. Stressful. I can't wait to get it done and get some sleep.
But in between all this hard work we agreed to have a Christmas party at my place. Just so we don't go completely nuts from starring into computer screens and books all the time.

It was Saturday night, and it was a blast. We had a misteltoe and blew up about 50 balloons or so... It looked so cute. We drank wine, schnaps and Christmas beer.

Schnaps can do funny stuff to some people.
It was a night full of great and interesting conversations... but also very confusing. I wish I knew what or who we were talking about... I hope time will tell. The future is unwritten...

Johnossi in Malmö

I finally got to go to Debaser in Malmö last night. Johnossi were playing, so Eva and I took our favourite train there to see them. They were awesome and it was such a great concert, too short though.

Afterwards we walked around the city and looked at the cute christmas lights.

One of the trees was full of presents...

Folk å Rock looks even cuter at night...

Tango, anyone?

Sometimes I wish I had been young in the 60s. Imagine being at Gröna Lund for times like these...

A night with Teitur

There was a great concert at the Opera House in Copenhagen last night. Sweet Teitur with his sweet songs. We dressed up for this very special occassion, sat on the balchony and enjoyed a beautiful night. It was the perfect blogable moment - but we weren't allowed to take pictures. I'm so sorry, I would have loved to share the moment.
Never have I seen Teitur look this adorable. He was wearing a white shirt, braces, tight pants, a hat and dancing shoes. It almost seemed a bit Håkan-inspired. His voice is amazing, and the Opera House was just the right place for him. Only one thing bothered me - people clapping their hands to the music, when he sang Catherine The Waitress. It completely ruined the song that I love so much. It was impossible to hear the music. Such a pity.
My favourite songs of the night were I Was Just Thinking and The Singer. I hope to find some reviews soon, so I can post some pictures from this lovely concert.

Little anchor

I'm not really into tattoos, but some people wear them so well and look so cool. If I ever was to get one it would be something like this:

So simple and yet so perfect. I found this image on Flickr.

Älskade Modette

One of my favourite communities is Modette. It is a Swedish fashion community, that originally started out as a magazine, but now it's only available online. When ever I need inspiration I look at the lovely style diaries. Here are some of my favourites:

Fashionistadk ------------------------- Lillgull

Majpaj --------------
--------------------- Prick

By looking at this website I can once again say that to me Swedes are the most fashionable people on earth.

Will I ever see you, José?

José González played at the Way Out West festival this summer, but Eva and I missed it, because we took the wrong spårvagn (tram). So stupid! We ended up walking around Västra Frölunda and getting lost.
So I was very excited when I heard that he was gonna play at the national gallery in Copenhagen tonight. Dorthe and I went there to see him, but so did hundreds of other people. We got there more than two hours before the concert but couldn't get in. After freezing and standing in a crowd for more than an hour and not moving any closer to the entrance, we decided to find a café and have some hot chocolate and tea instead. So disappointed.

Första snön är alltid vitast

This is what Vesterbro looked like last night, when we came back out on the street after the concert...

It is the first snow we've had this winter, and it made me think of the song by Tomas Andersson Wij called "Första snön är alltid vitast". (Translation: The first snow is always the whitest)
