Graduation Party

Exams are finally over, and it's now time for a long summer break. Much needed!
Even though we still have one semester left before graduation, we attended the graduation party at our school. Everyone was relieved and had so much fun. It was a perfect night...

I can't believe 3rd semester is already over. Seems like it just started...

Goodbye Party

Yesterday we had a goodbye party for Monika, Andrea and Alice since they are all leaving us. Monika is moving back to Poland, Andrea will go to Brazil, and Alice has decided to live in the sweet city of Stockholm.
Cecilia, Jeanette and I decided to make a huge chocolate cake for the party.

We decorated the cake with pink frosting (for Monika) and Smarties in the shape of flowers. The frosting looked like a huge piece of gum before we spread it on the cake.

Monika got a new T-shirt to remind her of Denmark. A pink crown for the princess... So perfect!

Chocolate cake and beer was the only dinner we had. Hhmmm... Maybe not the most clever thing to do... But the cake was so good!

We are gonna miss you, sweet girls!

Street style

I have a thing for street style, and when it comes to fashion I love getting inspiration from other people. My favourite website is StockholmStreetStyle. This website once again shows that Swedes have the best fashion sense. I have picked an example. This is a typical Swedish "flicka" in the streets of Stockholm:

I visit a few Danish sites as well for inspiration, like The Danes don't manage to impress me very often though. Unfortunately... But every once in a while you can find outfits like this one:

Memories of Liseberg

This is a video from Liseberg, september 2006. I was there and it was a perfect night. There is no better scene for a Håkan concert than Liseberg. And there will never be...

Sweet present

Alice made this sweet Dalahäst and gave it to me after I passed my first exam. It's the best present! Thank you so much, Alice! We still need to find that name for him. Louis something... hhmmm...

I just found this picture on my phone. I don't even remember taking it...

Swedish words put together in a sentence that doesn't really make sense. Strange, yet poetic.

Today I learned I should stop hoping.

The day of horror

Today I woke up very late to quite an unpleasant reality check. Time and date has been set for my exam next week, and now I'm wondering how to disappear completely...

Song of the day: Radiohead - How To Disappear Completely

That there
That's not me
I go
Where I please
I walk through walls
I float down the Liffey
I'm not here
This isn't happening
I'm not here
I'm not here

In a little while
I'll be gone
The moment's already passed
Yeah it's gone
And I'm not here
This isn't happening
I'm not here
I'm not here

Strobe lights and blown speakers
Fireworks and hurricanes
I'm not here
This isn't happening
I'm not here
I'm not here

A dedication

Alice wrote a song about Aprilgatan. So sweet:

We'll meet in Aprilgatan
The only street i know
After some wonder around
I'll come back there one day

Sweet little Aprilgatan
So steep and so narrow
In the south west of my town
I'll go back there one day

That's me in Aprilgatan
Swallowing my sorrow
So shy, so scared to back down
will you be here today ?

Be there in Aprilgatan
I still love you, you know
and as bleak as it can sound
it's been a year today

Thanks for the sweet lyrics, Alice!

Next stop: Aprilgatan

I think this spårvagn (tram) goes to Aprilgatan...

My sweet friend Alice convinced me to do a blog. Mainly so we can keep up with each other's lives when she moves to Stockholm. (so sad!!) You can see her blog here.
I'm not sure what to write or if I will be able to keep updating, but here goes...
