They're not closing

As I told you a few weeks ago my favourite concert venue in Copenhagen might had to shut down. I couldn't let that happen, so Eva and I decided to fight for it. And today it turned out that it was actually worth the fight. Along with a lot of other people we managed to convince the politicians that the venue needs money. They have now promised to find the money for it, so the business can go on. I feel so happy and proud. We did it!

Dans, dans, dans!

Cecilia, Jeanette and I took a little field trip to the national gallery last week. Just to have fun and maybe get some inspiration for our project. I spotted a big sign saying "Dans, dans, dans", and it reminded me of "Ramlar", when Håkan goes "Och det skulle ju va dans, dans, dans!" And the crowd goes crazy... I wish Eva and I were in Stockholm right now, so we could go with Alice to see Håkan tonight at Cirkus. It would be so much fun... but it just didn't work out.

Shopping with Eva

Today Eva and I went shopping, and we found some really good stuff. Take a look at what I bought:

A little sailor bag from Edith & Ella...

A t-shirt from Marc by Marc Jacobs...

Another t-shirt, but from Paul Frank...

And a very pretty grey dress from By Tougaard...

Om jag var svensk skulle jag...

...bo i Göteborg. I Haga faktiskt.
...ramla i Magasinsgatan.
...skratta.

Boys with hats

I adore boys who dare to wear hats like this and look handsome.

You don't see them in Copenhagen very often, but they are all over Sweden. I think some Swedish guys should teach a fashion seminar, so all the Danish guys could learn to look old-fashion-cool like this.

Well... Another idea would be to make every skinny guy in Copenhagen wear Dior Homme.

Stuck in reverse

My favourite Coldplay song is "Fix You"

When you try your best, but you don't succeed
When you get what you want, but not what you need
When you feel so tired, but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse

And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone, but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

And high up above or down below
When you're too in love to let it go
But if you never try you'll never know
Just what you're worth

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

Tears stream down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down your face
And I...

Tears stream down on your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down your face
And I...

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

Earrings from Petronella:

Red belt from French Connection:

Silly shoes from Lola Ramona:

Girls dream

One of the blogs I recommend is UnderbaraClara. Sweden and Swedes inspire me so much, and I love following this blog. It's cute, innocent, dreamy and very Swedish.
Pretty much all little girls dream about their wedding and what it would look like. UnderbaraClara recently had a real wedding, but it was so pretty it seemed like a dream.

The blog is in Swedish, but I think it must be quite fascinating even if you don't understand the language. Just look at the pictures. It's impossible not to start dreaming...

Another blog I can't stay away from is Nio Till Fem. It's a cute little universe full of fashion, dreams and inspiration.

Elizabethtown

I'm sick. So I'm spending Saturday night on the couch with pillows and blankets watching a nice movie. Elizabethtown.
It's no master piece, I'm aware of that, but I just really, really like it. The music is so great.

I love the map that she makes... and the whole idea of it. I love The Concretes and Ryan Adams.

Det finaste jag vet

Håkan är kanske det finaste jag vet...

För du är det finaste jag vet
när allt annat här
är falskt och fel
och jag går bara ner mig
för det är så jag säger det
du är det finaste jag vet

Det kan ta slut i morgon
eller hålla på för alltid
ibland är det så

Martha & Jenny

Two great ladies played at Vega last night. First we went to see Martha Wainwright at Store Vega, and she was lovely as always. Angus & Julia Stone warmed up the crowd with cute little songs.

Martha came out wearing woolen socks from Norway and a pretty little silk dress. I love her silly outfits. She's is always so chatty and kind, and I love her voice!

I recorded "Dis, Quand Reviendras-Tu", because I find it absolutely perfect. Even though I have no idea what it's about, since I don't speak a word of French. I'm gonna need some translation help from Alice...

We had to hurry to Lille Vega to see Jenny Lewis right after Martha left the stage, but unfortunately it took forever to get our coats, so we missed a big part of the show. The songs we heard were lovely though. We were standing all the way at the back, so this was the best picture I could get.

Once again a great concert night in Copenhagen. It was great seeing Dani again.

Vill du ha en puss?

I bought this pack of gum in Sweden. I think it's so cute.

Sing for me

Every time I open my balchony door I wish for this to happen:

Guitars, drinks and songs all night

Ky had a huge party last night. It was crazy and a lot of fun.
The most fun was going on in the kitchen...

Marie and Jeanette were smiling...

Everybody played the guitar last night. Some better than others. It was so cozy, and we all sang along...

It was quite crowded...

Cecilia took a very long power nap, while the guys played strange games...

Jag fick en puss...

And we kept singing and singing...

A familiar face... (Or should I say nose, Alice?)

There really was a lot of singing...

Somehow night turned into morning, and I found myself walking home beside one of the most drunken sailors of the night.
Usually I'm not a quitter, but I've decided to quit what ever game it was we were playing. Clearly it was a waste of time.

Song of the day: Oasis - Wonderwall

We kept singing Wonderwall all night. It's one of those songs, where everybody knows the lyrics and are not afraid to sing at the top of their lungs.

And all the roads we have to walk along are winding
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
There are many things that I would
Like to say to you
I don't know how

Because maybe
You're gonna be the one who saves me ?
And after all
You're my wonderwall

Manga Exhibition

Tuesday night we went to the opening of the Manga exhibition at Louisiana. It was a really cool exhibition, and there was even a sailor Manga! She was so pretty...

Today I've been listening to Broder Daniel.

Saturday

Oktoberfest

Somehow September passed by faster than ever, and now it's October.
That means: Time to party like the Germans do! We had a great Oktoberfest last night.
The beers were huge and the music was crazy...

And ehh... So were the guys...

Dorthe and Eva came along...

We tried to get a picture of the new and improved bar, so Alice could see, but it was too crowded...

Malene and I had fun...

"Hansi" was drunk and told me great gossip stories...

Oktoberfest comes with silly hats...

This was how "Hansi" got drunk...

Great party. A few things were missing though: My fellow fantastics and my favourite French girl.

Mixed emotions

Today was a good day... And a bad day.
I got an unbelievably great present from a fellow Håkanist. I cannot thank him enough! This is a better present than I had ever imagined.
But then something bad happened. I got an email saying that Håkan's concert in Vega has been moved from October 22nd 2008 to March 1st 2009!! What? I can't believe it. I have been looking forward to this for so long, and now I have to wait another 5 months. If I had known this would happen, I would have gone to see him in Århus. Now I really have to come up with a plan, so we can go to Stockholm when he's playing at Cirkus. Åh besvikelse...

Yesterday wasn't too good either. I found out that my favourite concert venue in Copenhagen might be closing. Pumpehuset needs money to survive. I didn't see that coming, and it's so incredibly sad. I've been to so many great gigs there, and I was hoping there was more to come. Right now I'm doing everything I can to save it. I would be so sad if it closed down...
