Festival dreaming

On Wednesday I will finally run off to Roskilde. I am so excited about it. I have been trying to get some work done today, but it is so difficult to concentrate. My mind seems to already have gone into festival mode. Pernille spontaneously decided yesterday that she will join on this year. We will have so much fun! Dorthe is sewing flags for our sailor camp, and I'm trying to decide which of all my nautical outfits to bring. Yesterday I got all my stripes and anchors together and realized... I could go to a 30-day-festival without wearing the same outfit twice!

The weather forecast shows pretty much nothing but sunshine for every day of the festival. It almost seems too good to be true. Sunshine, friends, and Håkan - what more could I ask for?

Work space

Summer has definitely come to Cph. It is so sunny and hot. But unfortunately I'm stuck at home with a lot of work, so I can't really enjoy the weather as much as I'd like to. I couldn't resist temptation yesterday though, so when Jeanette called and asked if I wanted to come to the beach I jumped on my bike and joined her. Today I forced myself to stay home, but when I couldn't stand starring at the beautiful weather without being outside any more, I decided to find myself a nice place in the sun. My balchony has become my new office:

Tomorrow night we'll go to Tivoli. Summer time in the city is the best

Sankt Hans

Tuesday night was Sankt Hans (the Danish equivalent to Midsommar), so we hung out at the beach by the bonfire and had blueberry ale, cherries, cookies and loads of other good stuff. It was perfectly cozy.

Dancing in the rain

A wise person once said that life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain. I agree. Why waste time? So tomorrow I will go and dance in the rain with my sweet friend Dani. She convinced me to come along to some birthday party in the city. I have picked out this outfit as I am feeling rather rock 'n' roll-ish these days (probably because Roskilde is coming up).

Jeans from Cheap Monday; daddy's old vest; boots from By Malene Birger; watch from Casio; bracelet from ASOS (this time I won't take it off and forget it somewhere).

The good, the bad... and the same old

I finally got a job, and I am so happy about it. In August I will start working at a luxury vintage store! I will be in charge of the website and online shop, and I will be selling luxury vintage clothing. I think it is quite perfect, and I am very excited. Nice to finally get some good news.

But yesterday I got some horrible news as well. I found out that the terrible rumour I heard some time ago was true. It is a crazy world we live in...

I am really glad to have gotten the new job, because I really need some new things to happen. I am sick of some people disappointing me again and again, and boredom is simply too useless for me.

Roskilde is so close now, and it has been announced that Håkan will play at the Orange Stage, which is so freakin' awesome! I cannot wait. It will be the biggest party this Summer.

Happy Birthday, Aprilgatan!

Aprilgatan is one year old today!

Macaroons & Marc Jacobs

Eva and Dorthe came back from Paris Monday night, and my sweet sister brought home presents for me. I got a cute Marc Jacobs scarf, a little anchor, a book full of sailors, and pretty little macaroons in cute colors.

I have never been to Paris, but after watching all their photos I long even more to go there. It seems to be the cutest city. Somebody take me there, please!

Genom skogarnas tystnad och in i mig

A Swedish/French visitor

I'm so excited! Sweet Alice is coming to visit us in July, and we are going to have so much fun. We will have sailor parties and picnics and go to flea markets. I think it is going to be awesome and lovely.

What did I miss?

I thought you had to be in a relationship with someone in order to be part of a break-up... But maybe it's just me. I don't know. This is weird.

Sailor Camp

Roskilde is coming up, and this year we will do an awesome sailor-themed camp. Eva, Dorthe and I are planning it already and picking out all our sailor-outfits to wear for the festival. And with Håkan coming I think it will be perfect! In August we will go to Way Out West in Göteborg, and today it was announced that Vampire Weekend are playing. I'm so excited. We will be there for some of Kulturkalaset as well, so we get to see Hello Saferide at Götaplatsen!

Rejection - part 2

28 days earlier than expected I got the worst rejection of them all. The education and school of my dreams did not accept me... or any of my friends. Yet another slap in the face. This just makes everything so much more uncertain. I have one last chance now, but I won't hear from that university until the end of July. If they don't accept me I have no idea what to do for the next year... Should I travel, work, find an internship, run off and join the circus...? Or what? I have no clue.
